Summary Purpose The Software Engineer Principal IT is responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases. This position is responsible for ongoing development, maintenance, support and architecture of existing systems and platforms. This position provides thought leadership and champions software architecture, software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases Responsible for ongoing development, maintenance and support of existing systems and platforms Provide thought leadership and champion software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews Own technology solutions within area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap communication of overall health and future sustainability Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure and Security to ensure excellence in solution design and evolution of systems architecture Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementations Proven experience of ongoing education related to technology trends within software development and support Proven experience with multiple development and support methodologies Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications Ability to drive innovation and be forward thinking Excellent written, technical, and verbal communication skills Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team Established presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audience Ability to transition abstract concepts into comprehensive technical solutions Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills Ability to drive innovation and be forward thinking Strong traits of decisiveness and judgment Excellent documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Computer Engineering Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) Previous experience working in Agile/Product Delivery model Understanding of security implications of domain?
